A preliminary set of names has been released from the NSW BDM. Below is a list of the top boys and girls names for 2010. No real changes, but a trend towards more traditional names for boys, and girls ending in either a 'a' or a 'y'...
Whenever we are searching for names of people, the Web is the initial place to look. With the completeness of information that Google offers, it will find almost every permanent link to records about individuals. One problem that alot of new users may have, is the temptation to click on the initial like which is often a paid ad, to Google. These sponsored links can be almost any site that wants to pay for certain keywords that regular users use to search for people. We have been asked recently about a few other sites who are using this Google sponsored ad functionality to promote themselves as a names repository. Prime example is australian records com. You may find an interesting couple of posts about them here: http://www.detectiveforums.com/forums/about2368.html We would like to also appreciate any other sites that you know of that offer a paid subsciption service to search for names and records about people, and your experiance. Please post comments in the comments field below.
